Ms. Stylicia A. Bowden

• Ms. Stylicia Bowden was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, where she started creative writing at eight years old. Throughout her childhood she wrote poetry, plays, short stories, and songs.

  After spending time in the military, she used her traveling experiences to develop her writing skills. Before completing her military career, she publish six literary works, two spoken word albums, directed and produced her poetry show.

  She has appeared on numerous blogs, radio, and TV shows. Ms. Bowden’s poetic work has been featured on Essence’s “My Black Is Beautiful” website. Ms. Bowden has also appeared in the February, April, and July 2012 issue of Essence Magazine.

  Ms. Bowden has expanded her brand beyond poetry in the last several years. She has ventured into writing romance literature. In 2014, she attended a writing workshop in Paris to enhance her writing technique. Ms. Bowden’s ultimate desire is to continue writing to inspire women on a global scale.
